The story takes place in Crimson City, Georgia in the year of 2014. William C. Hawthorne, owner of the worldwide company, Crimson Tech, had bought the small town, Rome, renamed it and raised the city high into the air. At first, the world was nothing but a large sphere of water with clouds over it, and a small island that kept only a few people and a couple of animals.
